This book came onto my radar through a man I have grown to respect. While our perspectives on psychology differ at times, for the most part we share common foundational work principles, at the core, I recognize he has a heart of gold. After engaging in networking calls and reading his insightful daily emails each enriched with teachings and thought-provoking questions, I saw his endorsement of Rich Relationships as part of Selena Soo’s book launch. Intrigued by her grounded approach to networking, I decided to invest in myself once again.
Not only did I purchase the book, but I bought several copies as gifts for those I feel aligned to share with. I also received coaching tools to write and measure my growth. Selena’s perspective on business and networking resonated deeply and it mirrors the healing process of generational abuse within family systems. And often, these same wounds show up in family-owned businesses that struggle with love-money dynamics.
For me, after finally healing my body, mind, and soul not only from the deep soul violations I endured as a child, but also from a family tribe that disrespected me, I am now stepping into the healing of generational business integrity. My lineage carries the weight of women who were enslaved to a rigid patriarchal system, and I have walked away from business tribes that preached values publicly but, behind closed doors, acted in direct opposition to those principles. Many women suffer in silence. Many blame themselves.
Luckily, I am a healer, a psychic medium, and have been protected by my angelic ancestors while also undergoing painful lessons about deception and the lengths people will go for fame and money. Yet here I am, writing vulnerably today.
Many underestimated Mister Rogers’ kindness, mistaking it for naïveté or weakness. They had no idea how powerful he was behind the scenes defending the abused, advocating for the sick, and even winning a lawsuit against the KKK.
In the first section of Selena’s book, I found myself triggered. I had followed so many of her suggestions from a pure-hearted place, yet why hadn’t my relationships and partnerships reciprocated? I came to realize that my soul contracts were not merely about business but about healing deep ancestral wounds. Those who entered my life with chaotic and abusive karmic energy thank you. You taught me invaluable lessons.
Today, I mailed my first copy of Rich Relationships to a CEO in Florida, someone I’ve observed and respected for two years from afar. He first appeared in a meditation, and the following day, he gifted me a free ticket to a business event, solidifying my trust in him. I joined his networking organization, and it has strengthened my understanding that rich relationships are not built in 30 minutes. Not everyone is meant to be part of our journey.
I highly recommend this book to healers, practitioners, and those who have been taken advantage of or disrespected. This is a guide to growing, learning, and setting strong boundaries. Our professions have long been undervalued in the business world, and I am here to be a voice for the undeniable impact of long-term healing.
Three key takeaways from this chapter:
- Rich relationships are intentional, take time to build, and thrive on synergy. They are never transactional. Flowing with the right energy of abundance is everything.
- People who do not value your work are affecting your money. I had to do deep inner work and cleanse my connections to uncover ancestral roots tied to these dynamics.
- If you are seeking a trauma coach with extensive experience, you can learn more about my work at www.heatherannferri.com.
Thank you, Selena Soo—more reflections to come as I continue reading, growing, and expanding.
